Inequality Initiative Pays Paul Krugman $25,000 Per Month for ‘Modest Role’ | Mediaite

Inequality Initiative Pays Paul Krugman $25,000 Per Month for ‘Modest Role’ | Mediaite: "For these services, Krugman will be paid $225,000 over the course of nine months and will be offered with a series of benefits. The university will also provide Krugman with $10,000 in annual travel expenses and another $10,000 in moving expenses. “You will not be expected to teach or supervise students,” the letter clarifies.

Krugman replied by expressing his concerns over the required time commitment, but conceded that the offer was “remarkably generous.”

“$225,000 is more than quadruple New York City’s median household income,” Gawker’s J.K. Trotter noted.

In his new position, Krugman is doing quite a lot to expose income inequality in New York City. And he hasn’t even started yet."
